Tracking

• Boards with a lot of tracking are great at holding a straighter line. This can be adjusted to taste by changing the fin setup.

Carve

• The heel-to-toe carving up and down the wave. If you love making turns aim for a high carve ability rating.

Spin

• Skim style boards are designed to make spinning in front or on top of the wave smooth and simple.

Air

• Designed with aerial maneuvers in mind. The higher the rating, the easier it is to get those fins out.
